Accessibility Statement

TSG Tourismus Salzburg GmbH strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327 of 2 December 2016, p. 1).

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.paracelsusbad.at.

Status of Compliance with Requirements

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines due to the incompatibilities and exceptions outlined below. We plan to correct the accessibility deficiencies by July 31, 2026. The underlying criteria are based on WCAG 2.2 Conformance Level AA or the equivalent European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1.

Non-Accessible Content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

• Not all images have meaningful alternative text. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.1.1 Non-Text Content)

The pages do not have a consistent heading structure throughout, and text is not always optimally structured. Some text is visually designed like a heading and also functions as a heading, but is not semantically marked as a heading. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships)

• Links in the body text are not always underlined and therefore cannot be easily distinguished from the surrounding text. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.1 Use of Color)

• Numerous texts and control elements have insufficient contrast values. This applies to text displayed on images, the menu, and the voucher shop. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.3 Contrast – Minimum and 1.4.11 Non-Text Elements Contrast)

• Zoom is blocked for mobile devices. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.4 Change Text Size)

• Images with significant text within the image are used to notify about opening and closing times. These texts lack sufficient alternative text and would be better conveyed in text form. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.5 Images of Text)

• The navigation cannot be expanded with a screen reader and is therefore not fully usable. (WCAG Success Criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard Usability)

• The focus order in the cookie banner is not implemented correctly. (WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.3 Focus Order).

• The focus styling for many controls is insufficient in all browsers. (WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.7 Keyboard Focus Visible)

• The coupon shop has neither a search nor a sitemap. (WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.5 Various Methods)

• There are unlabeled links, such as the shopping cart in the coupon shop, English labels for buttons and links on the homepage, and unclear links in the coupon shop. (WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.4 Link Purpose (in Context))

• The load label is unclear with a screen reader. In the coupon shop, not all form fields are adequately labeled. Furthermore, the progress indicator for multi-step forms is unclear with a screen reader. (WCAG Success Criterion 1.3.1 Information and Relationships and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)

• The status of toggle buttons for expanding and collapsing content, such as accordions, is not clearly recognizable for screen reader users. (WCAG Success Criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value)

b) Exceptions due to disproportionate burden

• Videos on the website do not have audio description (WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded). The videos can be considered additional content because the information provided is also available in text form on the website. Audio description is not easily available on YouTube. We believe that correcting this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of accessibility regulations.
