FAQs Accessibility

The Paracelsus Bad & Kurhaus stands for barrier-free accessibility with regard to restricted mobility. The house is designed for all visitors and is also accessible for wheelchairs.

All areas throughout the building are spacious and accessible by a lift – from the Kurhaus (ground floor, 1st floor), through the swimming pool to the panorama sauna on the roof (2nd to 5th floor). Here you can move about freely thanks to the spacious planning and wide passages.
In addition, a tactile floor guidance system guides visually impaired visitors from the foyer up to the pool reception on the 2nd floor. A lowered counter in the reception area ensures better communication for wheelchair users.
There is a technical assistance system (induction loop) at the spa and the pool reception desks, which supports communication between staff and people with hearing impairments.
In the changing rooms, special wheelchairs are available free of charge for use in the pool/sauna areas. For safety reasons, wheelchair users must use these special wheelchairs to access the saunas and steam bath.

For people with disabilities, especially for people with mobility aids, more spacious changing cubicles are available near the therapy pool on the ground floor and in the changing area on the 2nd floor.

In the Paracelsus Bad all pool attractions, such as the waterfall, geyser, water current and bubble beds are accessible for people with disabilities.
The sauna area as well as the infrared cabins can also be used by people with restricted mobility.

There are toilet facilities for people with disabilities on every floor from the ground floor to the top floor (5th floor), except on the sauna area on the 4th floor (here, the disabled WC is located in the pool area).

The Paracelsus Bad & Kurhaus has fully equipped, wheelchair-accessible sanitary facilities.

The Paracelsus Bad & Kurhaus is located in the heart of the city of Salzburg. It does not have its own parking spaces. It is very well connected through public transport. Opposite (in the Auerspergstraße) there are disabled parking spaces. From December 2020, disabled parking spaces will be available in the public underground car park, access via Schwarzstraße. These parking spaces are public and therefore not exclusively reserved for guests of the Paracelsus Bad & Kurhaus.

Both the Café im Park on the ground floor and the sauna and self-service restaurant on the 4th floor are barrier-free. Here, visitors can enjoy homemade dishes, snacks and drinks.
